Climate change poses complex challenges for business due to the interconnectedness between risks and impacts in the modern globalised economy as well as the uncertainty associated with the timing and magnitude of projected changes.  Businesses are beginning to identify their exposure to climate change issues, understand the financial implications and develop mitigation strategies and adaption response plans in order to ‘climate ready’ their operations going forward. This side event will launch the WBCSD report on Building Resilience in Global Supply Chains and will showcase innovative projects undertaken by global businesses aimed at understanding the risks posed by physical climate impacts in the future and the business case for adaptation.
