Held in the Blue Zone on December 8 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. It will be held in the Climate Action Arena – which is Press Conference Room 1 in Hall 2.


The panel will feature Rob Walton, retired Chairman of Walmart; John Bryant, Chief Executive Officer of Kelloggs; Steve Howard, Chief Sustainability Officer of IKEA; Marjorie Yang, Chair of Esquel Group; and Marcello Brito, Chief Executive Officer of Agropalma. Former Assistant Energy Secretary, Andy Karsner, will serve as moderator for the session, with opening remarks from CI’s Peter Seligmann and UNFCCC Chief of Staff Daniele Violetti and closing remarks from President Anote Tong of Kiribati.


The discussion will focus around the role of nature in mitigating and adapting to climate change as part of an “all of the above” climate approach that includes efficiency and technology as well as nature-based solutions. Key messages include commitments to action by the panelists; showcasing how their companies are implementing solutions; and the importance of nature-based solutions as a significant area for investment that is immediately available and has multiple benefits for livelihoods and biodiversity.
