Agenda

How can climate policy tackle the supply side of fossil fuels?

Organizer: SEI

Date: Fri / Dec. 4 - 17:00

Time: 17:00

Area: Green Zone

This workshop brings together voices from climate policy research, governments and advocacy for a highly interactive discussion of “supply-side” measures to tackle climate change. Presenters will briefly introduce the concept of “supply-side” climate policy, its importance, and potential contributions, with examples from around the world. The rest of the session will be a moderated debate, involving both panellists and audience members, on supply-side options – from divestment and carbon asset risk protection, to cap-and-trade for production rights and specific initiatives to leave fossil fuel assets unexploited. The goal is to provide an opportunity to ask questions, share perspectives, and engage in a lively discussion.
