Leading by doing: Taking on the Challenge to become Fossil-free — Nordic cooperation
The Swedish Government’s initiative Fossil-free Sweden has a clear message: Sweden can and will be one of the first fossil-free welfare nations. For this reason, we now challenge other countries to become fossil-free and increase the pace of climate efforts together with us – a Fossil-free Challenge. At this side-event, the discussion will focus on the road to the fossil-free society. Swedish companies and municipalities will give their perspective on the challenge. Both on how to tackle it in their own organisation and on how to challenge other actors like themselves to do the same. Swedish Minister for Climate and the Environment and Deputy Prime Minister Åsa Romson will outline the initiative and Professor Johan Rockström will give a scientific frame.
