The UNFCCC Secretariat is organizing the side event on “Making the best use of the NAMA Registry” at Paris Climate Change Conference, 2 December 2015. The NAMA Registry is a public online platform, developed by the UNFCCC Secretariat, to support developing countries with the preparation and implementation of actions to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The side event is being organized to provide information on the operation of the registry, the related activities undertaken and challenges faced by the secretariat. It will discuss how the registry can be optimized to best fit in the short to medium term and under the post-2020 climate regime. It also features support and initiatives of various agencies available for the Parties in the preparation and implementation of NAMAs.
