The CO2 Performance Ladder: a Dutch innovation for CO2-reduction through procurement

Background: The CO2 Performance Ladder has had a huge impact in the Netherlands in the last 5 years.
It rewards organisations’ carbon reduction ambitions and results with financial advantage in public procurement.
A concept that transformed the Dutch infrastructure sector into a front runner in CO2-reduction.
The Foundation (SKAO) that is owner of the CO2 Performance Ladder will give you insight in how the instrument works,
what the results are and why the CO2 Performance Ladder is a success in the Netherlands.
The panel consists of Yvo de Boer, Michael Westphal (WRI) and Gijs Termeer (SKAO).
They will discuss the potential for international upscaling of the instrument with the audience.
